Travel Adventures Part I: America

Where do I start? Jeremy and I saved up for about 2 years to make this adventure happen and boy did I catch the travel BUG! Taking photos is my passion and there was no way I wasn’t documenting this trip. I hope you can feel and sense the sights and sounds through these images. We started our one month holiday in Los Angeles-I have travelled to Africa, to Dubai and Malaysia…but this was a jetlag I had never felt in my life! Had some time before our Topdeck tour started so off we went to Universal Studios in Hollywood…. Continue reading

Nicola – Love Crowns

What a STUNNER!!! Lisa found this dress at the Salvation Army in Ipswich and knew it would be included her next project. NEVER take op shops/vintage stores for granted; you can certainly find unique things and clothing to bring a second life to it! The wedding dress Lisa wore to her wedding was also form a vinnies store! Thank you to Nicola for her natural beauty in making this dress, flower crowns & bouquets come to life. She is just the sweetest! ❤ Head on over to facebook.com/lovecrownsbylisajinstagram.com/lcrowns for enquiries on all your floral needs.

Vogue – Love Crowns

This shoot was something different and exciting for me! I’m more of a natural photographer, using the skylight as my main light. Vika & Ann were after a ‘Vogue’ kind of feel to their shoot being accompanied by flower head pieces by Love Crowns of course {facebook.com/lovecrownsbylisajinstagram.com/lcrowns }! These two share a very special bond and wanted to immortalise in photo form. They needed some new photos to update their houses! Pretty sure they are the definition of natural beauty- we had a bit of random fun by the end of it! ❤

Peter + Lisa’s Wedding Film

Peter & Lisa’s Wedding; What a joyous and intimate day! These guys were so at home with each other and everyone. I am so humbled to be a part of their journey together (see: PETER + LISA’S ENGAGEMENT SHOOT + PETER + LISA’S ENGAGEMENT PARTY); seeing it bloom from the very beginning stages. Can’t wait to keep doing life with these two. This is Jeremy’s (My hubster) first attempt at filming and editing, and boy did he do a fantastic job; imagine what you could do with more practice under your belt 😉 Thank you also to Leroy Corea for some of the footage. Enjoy guys, truly sums up the day and who they are as a couple! [NOTE: Lisa tripping in one of the scenes – we had to keep it because if you know Lisa, she’s clumsy ;)]

Ty + Maxine’s Wedding

The day had finally arrived! I remember catching up with Maxine quite a while ago when her and Ty had gotten engaged (Ty + Maxine’s Engagement Party), and the wedding seemed like a distant thing; but time is just flying by now that we’re all growing up, getting married and having kids etc! Such a beautiful day for what was torrential rain ALL WEEK!!! The heavens opened up and vibrant colours were streaming just in time for their wedding. I was able to capture the love and quirkiness of this awesome couple and their party of family and friends; good times were had by all! The bride was even still setting up the décor when it came to the reception! A modern flavour was added to the Chinese Tea Ceremony; such humble and sombre moments. Can’t wait to see this couple do amazing things now that their talents are under the one roof (Maxine has made the move to Melbourne to be with her hubby – makes total sense :P). Thanks for letting me document your memorable day Ty + Maxine, love you guys!

Winter in Queenstown

Seems to be an annual thing where we travel to different places during winter (see: Winter in Melbourne City). It’s something that is so needed for us as we get to pause on our busy schedules and fly away to spend some quality time without the extra buzz. I had never been to New Zealand before so off we went to the most tourist of all NZ destinations, Queenstown. By the time we landed, the snow was only covering the tips of the mountains; By the time we left the snow was about one-third down the mountains! The cold weather definitely took a turn fast (we were only there for 5 days)! Queenstown is naturally one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to yet; Crystal blue lake surrounded by gorgeous, green mountains. Because of Winter, the leaves were yellow, red warm colours and falling from the trees. We got to experience Fergburger & Fergbakery; oh man, their PIES are to die for!!! Also the local food and produce; we went on a River cruise farm & BBQ tour and visited Arrowtown. It was raining heavily by the time we visited Glenorchy, but we were still able to enjoy Queenstown and I was still able to take some snaps. We found a really cool trail on the side of a main road; litereally felt like we were in a scene from Twilight.Thank you Queenstown for your gorgeous, natural vibes & I hope you enjoy the snaps from this trip. Next Stop, AMERICA & EUROPE 2015-2016! Keep your eyes peeled!

P.S The very last photo is a collage of Jeremy crapping his pants on the sky rail (after that he was like a kid on the luge!)

Maxine’s Portfolio Shoot

This girl has the whole package – Is multi talented, has the looks, knows business & marketing, can draw and create…I could go on. Check out these images I had the pleasure of snapping around South Brisbane for her Website & Portfolio. Her art and product is clean, full of shapes, artistic, chic and modern; this is what I attempted to capture. I believe these shots portray Maxine and her style & product. I love that we still keep in contact after High School and can’t wait to capture Ty & Maxine’s wedding next month! She’s a keeper 😉 enjoy!

Aydian + Tanita’s Wedding

What a perfect day. The sun was out for these 2 lovers who made a covenant with each other in front of an intimate selection of their closest friends and family. Red was the theme for Aydian & Tanita’s momentous day and boy did they rock it! Aydian and I went to Primary & High school together and it was my absolute pleasure to capture this day; 2 families coming together to celebrate the love of this smashing couple. They danced the night away in style! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Emsley and can’t wait to see your family extended 😉

Winter in Melbourne City

Oh the infamous Melbourne City. I had never been before and have been aching to for quite a while, and boy was my craving satisfied! Such a hip and quirky city, yet they don’t even try. Cute little laneways with awesome street art, you can’t go wrong. We caught up with our mate Ty, a now citizen of Melbourne, who showed us around and pretty much only mentioned amazing food places to experience (we weren’t bothered as we were ALL for FOOD). Such a nice time to relax, unwind and get away from the business of the season that my hubster and I are currently in and not to mention for our 2 year wedding anniversary. I hope you enjoy these little snippets of our Holiday, as we did.
P.s The hubster took a few photos himself and I’ve got to say, they’re not bad. I’ll need to start training him up for future shoots 😉
