Travel Adventures Part II: Europe

And off we continue to EUROPE! Landed in London on Christmas day so not too much was happening where we were staying. We then headed to Calais for France to start another Topdeck tour. Best moment in Paris was riding around the city on bicycles; someone cut their head a bit on the paved roads so GREAT way to start a tour! Sitting with a kitty in a café; that was the cherry on top. Oh, and the LOUVRE!! bucket list TICKED! Then off we headed to Engelberg, Switzerland. Mount Titlis was the peak we were so fortunate to head up to… The views and the air just don’t compare! Skiing was unfortunately not an option as our insurance didn’t cover this; not a risk taker 😉 The weather in Engelberg was so cold I was able to refrigerate our drinks and snacks outside our window! Next stop, Florence Italy! This is definitely one of my favourite places of our worldwide adventures; the memories made, the food, the leather the architecture and history! Then off we headed to ROME for New years Eve – now this is something you can’t say everyday (non-Roman people). Illegal fireworks and constant crackers going off around the Colosseum at midnight – don’t know what’s going to top that New Year’s Eve ever again! The next day was another memory out of the BONUS book; Standing in the middle of St Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City for the Pope’s annual message!!! All in Spanish and Latin by still in awe. Next stop, Venice. You may be a sinking city- but you sure are a beautiful one! Venetian masks, a Gondala ride, the mint architecture- I was in Heaven. Next stop, Salzburg Austria (The photos in between this pit stop show very lame attempts at snowball fights 😉 Being a LOVER of The Sound of Music this place was a feast for my eyes! So, so breathtaking and pretty covered in snow! Heidelberg Germany was out next stop and the beers -DELISH. Amsterdam- I know I said San Francisco was me as a city but so is Amsterdam; The culture, acceptance, art & coffee! Last stop on the tour Bruges Belgium. The chocolate, Fries and Waffles – you are already so sorely missed! Here & Amsterdam we was said good bye to a lot of great people we got to make and share memories with – You guys have a bed if you’re ever in Brissie! Last stop on this adventure, London. Our dear friend Stef took us around town (actually her dear friends) and showed us the iconic spots of London. It was so good to see her and catch up on life -we’ve missed you so much in Aussieland! Who could go to London and NOT go to Harry Potter world?! Anyone who knows me will know this is my fangirl dream coming true! Oh Europe -you were magnificent in every way, had your quirks but you totally delivered and have left me wanting more: The food, spirits, architecture, culture, history, languages, art & the food again… Until we meet again Echanté!
